About Me

My photo
Jeni
Originally from central Nebraska, I am fulfilling my student teaching requirements this fall at a middle school in Chicago Illinois. This blog follows my many experiences from life in the city and using public transportation, to thoughts on classroom management, assessment, direct instruction, the multiple intelligences, etc. I am excited to engage twenty-first century learners with classic texts using multimedia rich lesson plans and am dedicated to reaching all students and creating a safe environment for all learners to become active, self-regulated participants. Follow me as I discover what it is to put theory into practice and evolve from student to student teacher in a matter of months.
